Svetla Kostadinova Executive Director of the Institute for Market Economics (IME)

Svetla Kostadinova is an Executive Director of the Institute for Market Economics (IME) – the first economic think tank in Bulgaria, created in 1993. She has a Master’s degree in Finance and since 2007 she has been leading the Institute for Market Economics’ team in their efforts for more personal freedom, non-interference of the state in the economic life and the rule of law. IME has substantial contribution in reforms in public policies, which is expressed in the preparation of analytical materials, advocacy of reforms, educating the general public, formation of coalitions to protect specific reforms, stopping of harmful legislative initiatives, supervising the work of the executive and legislative authority, participation in working groups and cooperation with media.

In 2012 Ms. Kostadinova is in Top 30 of the most influential women in Bulgaria according to newspaper Capital. In 2015 she is among the twenty most influential women of magazine Forbes Bulgaria.
